Last week we were in Arizona with the family for 24 hours in the Old Pueblo, a mountain bike race in which each of us competed alongside a duo partner—Laura with Meg Fisher and Ted with Alex Howes. Ted put together a great little recap vlog on his YouTube if you’re interested in seeing what this event is all about.
We are excited to begin our travels west, opting to skip “mudseason” in Vermont for the verdant pastures and vineyard laden views of Sonoma County. Ted will be traveling via Sprinter van across the country, stopping at the “opener” of the gravel season, Mid South, in Stillwater, OK. Follow his travels via his IG page. Fellow friend and Mill District ambassador Brennan Wertz will also be lining up and is always a racer to watch! You can follow him here.
Laura will be heading to California a bit earlier with a stop to ride the Jane Fondo on March 11 in Marin County. There are still spots available if you would like to join! The following weekend will be Grit + Luxe—four spots remain for an incredible women’s weekend at the Mill District alongside Jess Cerra and Dr. Emily Kraus.
Whatever place cycling holds in your life—be it for commuting, recreation, getting out when you can or making it a serious hobby, we’re excited about the variety of ride offerings the Mill District will host this spring. I guarantee you will find one that fits what you’re looking for.
Looking forward to seeing you on the road soon,
Laura
